Researchers at the University of Cambridge attempted to answer an age-old question that’s been on everyone’s mind for hundreds of years. Presented with an environmental challenge, would brain or brawn give us a better chance of survival?

We won’t reveal the findings of the research; because, it makes little sense to pit one against the other. Just take a second to consider the thought – how about focusing on both the body and the brain. Do you think this is impossible?

Nothing is impossible for humans and if you aspire to be Albert Einstein, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Ed Coan at the same time, good for you. We’re here to help you with that. The Brain and Brawn stack has the best supplements to fuel the mind and muscles.

The nootropic stack given here has ingredients of the highest quality, high bioavailability, and minimal side effects. We have also chosen supplements for their synergistic effects. For example, the Nootropics Alpha GPC and ALCAR complement each other. Both supplements work together to boost one of the most important neurotransmitters – Acetylcholine.

Equal attention has been paid to other elements of cognition, like mood and mental energy. The herbal nootropic Bacopa monnieri helps the users evade the ill effects of stress and anxiety.

We also realize that more testosterone doesn’t automatically translate to bulkier muscles. To develop lean muscles we need more free-testosterone and less estrogen. In addition, to convert testosterone to muscles, we need a solid exercise routine. Some of the ingredients in the stack help with muscle repair and recovery.

For the brain and body to function at an optimal level, it’s imperative for them to dodge, elude, and fight wear and tear caused by free radicals. Even that is taken care of; there are quite a few ingredients in this stack that are known for their potent antioxidant properties. They have been tasked with the job of protecting the brain and body from oxidative stress.

Benefits of Each Nootropic Stack Component

Acetyl L-Carnitine (ALCAR)

Acetyl L-Carnitine is the highly bioavailable form of Carnitine. ALCAR’s primary role is to aid the production of acetylcholine. The nootropic works with the choline present in the brain to synthesize the neurotransmitter. The brain chemical acetylcholine is associated with all major cognitive faculties such as memory, focus, attention, and intelligence.

ALCAR supports improvement in mental and physical energy (required for bodybuilding) by supporting energy metabolism. Acetyl L-Carnitine performs a key task of delivering fatty acids to the ‘powerhouse’ of the cell, mitochondria. Besides, it maintains the health of the brain by removing waste and toxic materials from the cells.

Scientists believe there is a link between low antioxidant activity and cognitive decline. The potent antioxidant activities and neuroprotective effects of ALCAR help healthy brain function by increasing BDNF and cerebral blood circulation.

Alpha GPC

The primary faculties most sought after by students, professionals, entrepreneurs and practically everyone includes memory, intelligence, focus, concentration, and clarity of thought. The neurotransmitter that’s closely associated with these faculties, as stated above, is acetylcholine.

To, up the levels of the neurotransmitter, we need choline in the brain, and Alpha GPC is by far the best choline supplement.

Interestingly, Alpha GPC also finds a place in some testosterone boosters. The choline supplement increases energy level and improves the release of the human growth hormone. Furthermore, this supplement also helps in repair of damaged muscles after training.

Alpha GPC and Acetyl L- Carnitine are also known for their synergistic effects. ALCAR’s impact on the cholinergic system increases multiple times by the addition of a choline precursor – Alpha GPC – to the stack.

Bacopa Leaf Powder

Bacopa Leaf Powder derived from Bacopa Monnieri needs no introduction. It’s one of the best and most widely used natural memory and mood enhancer.

Bacopa or Brahmi is well-known for its adaptogenic properties and anxiolytic effects. The herbal nootropic is consumed to reduce stress, anxiety, and prevent the harmful effects of these conditions.

Bacosides – the active ingredients in Bacopa are also known to influence the production of several brain chemicals including acetylcholine, dopamine, and serotonin.

There are also studies to show that Brahmi reduces neural inflammation, promotes cerebral blood circulation, and boost the release of many antioxidants such as superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase.

Huperzine A

Derived from Chinese Club Moss (Huperzia Serrata), Huperzine A is known for its neuroprotectant properties, ability to reduce glutamate toxicity and its function as an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor. The nootropic supplement is also used to promote cerebral blood circulation and treat skin conditions and muscle problems.

Huperzine A boosts cognition through two fronts. First, the supplement induces the release of Nerve Growth Factor (NGF) and prevents the breakdown of acetylcholine. Secondly, the nootropic ensures there is no reduction of antioxidant activity, resulting in the improvement of brain health.

Hup-A reduces glutamate toxicity by acting as a glutamate receptor antagonist. The nootropic’s actions help in reducing symptoms of glutamate toxicity like anxiety, restlessness, increased sensitivity to pain, and lack of focus.

Vitamin B6

Vitamin B6 finds a place in the stack for both its cognition enhancing and bodybuilding effects. The benefits of B6 are quite extensive, here and now, we’re focused only on its functions that boost energy metabolism, increases testosterone, and reduce homocysteine.

High levels of homocysteine are known to increase the risk factor of heart diseases and cognitive decline. Studies show that high homocysteine is associated with low levels of B6, folate, and B12.

In addition, vitamin B6 inhibits the production of another vital substance – the hormone estrogen. The increase in the levels of estrogen, especially in men, is known to deplete testosterone and reduce the ability to build muscles. The supplementation of B6 can curtail its synthesis and reduce its effect on the body.

Zinc

It’s nearly impossible to find a bodybuilding stack without zinc; this mineral is an indispensable part of any testosterone stack. In the body, the presence of zinc is responsible for the release of human growth hormone, follicle stimulating hormone, and luteinizing hormone.

We are incapable of producing zinc on our own, hence the body absorbs the mineral from the food we eat. But, supplementation becomes essential, if you want to build lean muscles.

Furthermore, studies show a direct link between testosterone and zinc levels in the body; those with low testosterone level also suffer from zinc deficiency.

Magnesium

Higher testosterone levels don’t guarantee muscle building. That’s because, for the development of lean muscles, we need an excess of free testosterone.

Sadly, much of the testosterone in our body is attached to the Sex Hormone Binding Globulin, making the male hormone ineffective for muscle building. Supplementing magnesium reduces the SHBG protein, thereby freeing testosterone from its clutches, and increasing free testosterone in the body.

D-Aspartic Acid

D-Aspartic Acid is an amino acid that has the same effect as zinc. Similar to the mineral zinc, the amino acid increases testosterone by aiding the release of luteinizing hormone, follicle stimulating hormone, and human growth hormone. In addition, D-Aspartic Acid acts on the testes and promotes the release of excess testosterone.

For men, D-Aspartic Acid serves another important function. The supplement is known for its libido boosting effects.

Fenugreek Seed Extract

The small seeds of fenugreek are loaded with compounds that have huge positive effects on muscles, sex life, and overall health.

The fenugreek seed extract in this stack is a potent testosterone booster. In addition, the active ingredients in this natural T booster are known to improve sex drive and sexual health. Scientists believe that fenugreek seed extract reduces insulin levels, and doing so they also increase testosterone in the body.

As a nootropic, the antioxidant properties of the supplement helps in fighting free radicals, reduce the damage caused by oxidative stress, and protect the brain from age-related cognitive decline.

Resveratrol

Bodybuilding is as much about reducing estrogen as it is about increasing testosterone. The three ingredients – Resveratrol, Apigenin, and Hesperidin – form the anti-estrogen pack.

So far, the antioxidant benefits of resveratrol have overshadowed its effects on the sex hormones. Studies show the anti-aromatase effects of resveratrol inhibit the conversion of testosterone to estrogen.

Some users of testosterone boosters complain of no benefit even after a long duration. Sometimes the excess testosterone produced due to the effects of testosterone boosters is converted into estrogen in the body. The resveratrol supplement prevents such a reaction and helps muscle building.

Resveratrol also offers cognition enhancing benefits too. The antioxidant properties of resveratrol protect the brain from oxidative stress.

Hesperidin

Hesperidin is yet another aromatase inhibitor in the stack. It ensures there is enough free testosterone for the development of lean muscles, by inhibiting estrogen production.

Apigenin

Extracted from plants, Apigenin is known to both reduce estrogen and boost testosterone. The substance doesn’t allow the T levels to drop by stimulating the release of a protein that’s indispensable to the production of the male hormone. Furthermore, this ingredient is also an aromatase inhibitor that prevents the transformation of testosterone to estrogen.

Final Thoughts

The biggest advantage of this stack is that it’s all natural, made up of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and herbal supplements. We have taken great care to add only the best Nootropics and testosterone boosting supplements. The supplements are safe, non-toxic, and non-habit forming.

This stack is great. Thanks. I started using it a couple of weeks ago; feel relaxed and fresh. Did some research on the ingredients before purchasing and they are all proven safe and effective for muscles and brain. I don’t think I’ll get muscles like Arnold, but it is helping me train longer and harder. Hope the effects don’t taper off after a few weeks.

I was actually browsing to find a muscle building stack, by chance, I landed on this page. It’s really next to impossible for me to remember things I have read; poor memory is a curse I’m suffering from for a long time. Will this stack help my memory problem too? I already take whey protein and multivitamin supplements. Can I continue taking those along with this stack? Answers to these will be of great help. Thank you in advance.
